End Time Prophets

The very first message delivered by the Apostle Peter at the beginning of the New Testament Church quotes the Prophet Joel - "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on my menservants and my maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy". (Acts 2:17-18 NKJV).

So we can expect to see a resurgence in prophecy as we get closer to the end days. But what does this mean to us as members of the body of Messiah; who do we know if we have been called to prophesy and what can we do to protect ourselves from the false prophets who will also arise in the end times?

This messages looks at these issues and gives us a clearer understanding on the role of the prophet and the tests we need to apply to make sure that we are note deceived by agents of the adversary.

Why is there no healing?

Shabbat Shalom!

We've just enjoyed a quiet but uplifting Sabbath fellowship.

This weeks message explores the issue of healing in the Church. I know many of us have loved ones, friends and family who are sick and in need of healing. And I know there are many in the body of Messiah who are frustrated by the lack of miraculous healing we see in the assemblies. It is a heartfelt cry from many of YHWH's children - why can we not heal the sick and bring solace to the broken hearted?

Being in this position myself and having prayed long and hard for one I love to be healed I have had to study the scriptures again to understand why YHWH is apparently unresponsive to our prayers.

There are several possible reasons why YHWH does not heal as the scripture indicates -

a) His scriptures are untrue
b) He does not have the capability to heal
c) We are not praying in faith
d) Now is not the time for great miracles and healing

Those of you that know me will realise that I would never preach that the scriptures are untrue or that YHWH cannot heal us. I can't speak for everyone but those in the body of Messiah who I know have offered heartfelt prayers for healing do so in total trust, faith and confidence that YHWH does hear our prayers.

So the only conclusion I can come to is that now is not the time.

Great Fellowship!

I didn't record a new message this Sabbath because we were fellowshipping with Glen and Tracey Cain. They are Sabbath keepers from the London area who run the British branch of a a ministry called Yahweh's Philadelphia Truth Congregation. This is a link to their website.

The drove for 4 hours from London to meet with us. And we had a great time discussing scriptures and fellowshipping so that we could get to know each other better and find ways that we can support each others ministries to bring the truth of Yahweh's word to the people of Britain.

As with all fellowship with seasoned believers we were blessed to experience some serious "iron sharpening iron" Bible study. My list of topic to study in more detail has just grown even bigger!

We're online and preaching!

Hello friends,

I've been able to make good progress in getting the Spirit and Truth Revival Ministry online, please visit the site and let me know what you like and what you would like to see improved.

Praise Yahweh! I also found a free way to get our messages uploaded so that people can listen to them online. If you would like to find out how to do this for your ministry site, please contact me david@spiritandtruthrevival.org.

I want the website to be a resource for all the children of YHWH which fear God and keep His Commandments so please send this link to anyone you feel would enjoy online fellowship.

Some of the ideas I have for expanding this site are to include a forum where we can discuss issues through a forum and possible, if there is enough interest through an online chat - say for one hour each week we would login and discuss a topic of Biblical interest.

Also if you know any ministries that have produced good, Biblically correct messages, please let me know I'd be pleased to post their messages as guest speakers.

Anyway, we have guests joining us from London for the Sabbath so I need to get ready to welcome them.

I'm looking forward to growing a fellowship of the Children of Yahweh, both on and off line, so any ideas you have how we could achieve this, please let me know.

Are you a pagan?

I recently read in a UK newspaper that in 2002 we spent £12 million on celebrating Halloween. This year we will be spending £120 million, but this pales into insignificance compared to our cousins in America, who will spend a massive $4.7 Billion on celebrating “Trick or Treat”.

But what’s the problem? I’s all just harmless fun isn’t it? Kids dressing up, decorating pumpkins and getting sweets from their neighbours. What’s the big deal?

Halloween is in fact the ancient pagan festival of Samhain and YHWH our God considers following other religions as spiritual harlotry. In fact, the FIRST Commandment states “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me” (ex 20:2-3 NKJV).

He gave explicit instructions to His people not to follow after other gods. He told the children of Israel not to intermarry to prevent this and He even instructed them to execute anyone who tried to induce Israel to follow other gods. Read Deuteronomy chapter 13 to understand how much God hates this practice.

So how much paganism have we incorporated into our society? How much has been assimilated into Christianity? And is there pagan tradition seeping into the assembly of God’s people?
